OUR CHARITABLE COMMITMENT
Morningstar Collection is a benevolent company with deep feelings
for all humanity. We feel it is our responsibility to share our proceeds
with qualified charities that support the neediest, especially children.
Therefore, a portion of our proceeds is donated to selected charities.
Thank you for helping us spread the endless love of Jesus to those
who need it the most.
Catholic Relief Services was founded in 1943 by the Catholic Bishops
of the United States. Our mission is to assist the poor and disadvantaged,
leveraging the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to alleviate
human suffering, promote development of all people and to foster charity
and justice throughout the world. Working through local offices and
an extensive network of partners, CRS operates on 5 continents and
in over 90 countries. We aid the poor by first providing direct assistance
where needed, then encouraging these people to help with their own
development. Together, this fosters secure, productive, just communities
that enable people to realize their potential.
Over the last 65 years, CCF has broadened the scope of its work and
now meets the needs of children all around the world. In fact, CCF
currently assists over 7.6 million children and families in 34 countries,
including the United States, regardless of race, creed, or gender.
Since its founding, CCF has provided more than $2.3 billion of program
services to children and their communities. Thanks to our generous
sponsors and donors, children around the world are leading healthier,
safer lives. This means they now have access to health care and safe
water, immunizations, better nutrition, educational assistance, literacy
courses, skills training, and other services that meet their individual
needs. CCF programs promote long-term sustainable development and
are designed to help impoverished children break out of a crushing
cycle of poverty.
Founded in 1946, Church World Service is the relief, development,
and refugee assistance ministry of 35 Protestant, Orthodox, and Anglican
denominations in the United States. Working in partnership with indigenous
organizations in more than 80 countries, CWS works worldwide to meet
human needs and foster self-reliance for all whose way is hard.
The Global Hunger Project is a global, strategic organization committed
to the sustainable end of world hunger. In Africa, Asia and Latin
America, the Hunger Project has the stated intent of empowering grassroots
people to achieve lasting progress in health, education, nutrition
and family income. The Hunger Project started in 1977 as one of many
hunger-related organizations founded in the wake of the first World
Food Conference in Rome. That conference discussed for the first time
the notion of "ending" hunger (rather than alleviating hunger). Many
expressed frustration that conventional approaches and conventional
thinking did not suffice to meet the challenge. The Hunger Project
sees itself as "designed to challenge conventional thinking, and pioneer
strategies which could address the root causes that gave rise to wide-spread
hunger and poverty."
Lutheran World Relief (LWR) is a non-governmental organization founded
in 1945 to respond to the needs of communities devastated by World
War II. Since then, it has evolved from a relief agency shipping material
resources to war-torn Europe to an agency that works with partners
worldwide to respond to emergencies, seek lasting solutions to rural
poverty, and work for peace and justice for all. LWR works to promote
equity, strengthen organizational capacity, and empower communities
to have a voice in decisions that affect their lives, while continually
learning to increase our impact. Headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland,
LWR works to reduce poverty and injustice by helping communities increase
and expand the resources they need to live productive, healthy and
empowered lives.
